Brian Budd is the owner and General Contractor of Wood Element, a local remodeling company based in Atascadero, California. A lifelong resident of the Central Coast, Brian grew up in Cayucos and developed a deep appreciation for the local community, the outdoors, and the people who call the Central Coast home.

Brian graduated from Sonoma State University with a degree in Business Management, giving him a strong foundation in business leadership and management that he has brought into building and growing Wood Element.

With a hands-on approach to remodeling, Brian has built Wood Element around three core principles: quality craftsmanship, attention to detail, and respect for the homeowner and their property. He believes that a successful remodel is about more than simply completing a project—it’s about creating a positive experience for homeowners from start to finish.

Wood Element has a team of five skilled employees, allowing the company to perform a significant portion of its remodeling work in-house. This gives Brian greater control over the quality, craftsmanship, scheduling, and details of each project. Over the years, Wood Element built a tight network of trusted specialty subcontractors who share the company’s commitment to quality and professionalism. Brian carefully chooses the tradespeople he works with and takes pride in partnering with professionals he knows will do excellent work and treat each homeowner’s home and property with the same care and respect that Wood Element does.

Brian understands that remodeling someone’s home is a major investment and that construction can be disruptive to everyday life. His goal is to make the process as organized, respectful, and enjoyable as possible while delivering work that will stand the test of time. His team treats each home as if it were their own, taking care to protect the property, maintain a clean jobsite, and pay attention to the details that make a finished project feel truly complete.

Outside of work, Brian enjoys spending time with his young family and taking advantage of everything the Central Coast has to offer. He especially enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors.
